Moto Edge 50 Pro: 8GB VS 12GB. Which one should you choose?
Motorola is launching its Moto Edge 50 Pro on 9th of April 2024 in India which will be available on flipkart and motorola's website as well as in the offline markets.
Motorola is known for its near stock android OS and clean user interface without any bloatwares and ads in its launcher. It is creating value for money smartphones for its users but the camera quality is something which has always been criticised in moto phones but this time, in Moto Edge 50 PRO moto is expected to do well in its camera and used AI to enhance the photo and videography experience.
Moto has launched its 50 PRO which two options:
8GB and 256GB for 32,000 INR which includes 68 watts charger.
12GB and 256GB for 36,000 INR which includes 125 watts charger.
Here, Moto is asking 4,000 INR for Extra 4GB Ram and a 125 watts charger which is a big choice for any customer with a tight budget.
Before answering the question that which variant should you buy, we have to understand the concept of What is the use of RAM in a smartphone?
RAM, as we know, it is known as Random Access memory which is used in phones to open and close applications and do multiple things at ones so, simply saying, more the amount of RAM equals more task can be operated at once.
Now talking about which one should you choose. It totally depends on what are your uses, if you are a power user who uses the phone for editing and to play high end games for longer periods and if you are also looking for future proofing you should consider a phone with 12GB of RAM but if you are a normal user, who is interested in Gaming, but not intensive gaming you can go for a 8GB RAM variant which will be sufficient for most of the users now a days and can be expected as a sufficient amount of RAM for more than 2 years.
Now talking about the second difference, the charging power. In 12GB variant, you get a 125 watts charger in the box and in 8GB variant, you get a 68 watts charger in the box, but phone can still be charged to 125 watts if you have a 125 watts charger at you.
Now talking about which charging power should you choose and why?
Frankly speaking, i have a 18 watts charger with 5000 Mah battery and it charged the battery very quickly. So, if you even got a 33 watts charger your smartphone will be charged so quickly and here you are getting 68 watts charger which is more than enough. And on the other hand, 125 watts charger can charge your phone more quickly but leads to a very heated phone and as we know, overheating can damage phone's component. So, choosing a 68 watts charger is more that enough for normal as well as most of the power users.
